The event benefits the Friends of Montezuma, a nonprofit that supports wildlife management, habitat restoration, conservation education, and public use within the Montezuma Wetlands Complex. There are hydration stations along the race routes and medical professionals on site; runners are recommended to prepare with additional fluids or hydration belts.
Race day packet pickup is available at the Montezuma Audubon Center, with a pre-race pickup schedule listed as TBD. Information about local lodging and camping near Savannah is provided for visitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
