Event Overview

Distances
The festival features three main running distances, plus virtual options for each.

Course Details
All events start and finish at the Montezuma Audubon Center. The courses take runners along country roads in low population density areas with scenic views of rural Central New York.
- The Half Marathon course is on mostly paved roads, with a couple of miles on packed dirt trails on the outskirts of Howland Island.
- The 10K and 5K courses are run entirely on paved roads.
The race benefits the Friends of Montezuma, a not-for-profit organization supporting wildlife management, habitat restoration, conservation education, and public use within the Montezuma Wetlands Complex.
