Monte Vista Historical Association 5K Fun Run & Walk
The Monte Vista Historical Association 5K Fun Run & Walk takes place on November 14, 2026, at Landa Library, 233 Bushnell Avenue, San Antonio, TX. The route runs through the Monte Vista Historic District and covers 3.1 miles.
Participants pass turn of the century homes built between 1890 and 1930 and a range of architectural styles typical of the neighborhood. The event starts and ends at Landa Library, with activities on the library grounds after the run and walk that include kids activities, a holiday market, food trucks and live music.
Early-bird registration is $25 and includes a swag item and a bib number. Swag items are only guaranteed for those who register before October 14 and are otherwise distributed based on availability on race day. Day of registration is $35 and includes a bib number. Registration opens August 1, 2026 and closes November 13, 2026.
Awards are given in multiple categories, including overall male and female, youth (18 and under), adult (ages 19 to 59), senior (age 60 and up), first dog to cross the finish line, and first stroller to cross the finish line.
Proceeds benefit the Monte Vista Historical Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that monitors city ordinances and development and works to preserve and improve the neighborhood. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
