Monster Mash Dash 5K & 1Mile : Overview

The Monster Mash Dash 5K & 1Mile is scheduled for October 25, 2026, in McLean, Virginia, at Franklin Sherman Elementary School, 6633 Brawner St. The event includes the following race options:

1 Mile Fun Run
Virtual 5K
Virtual 1 Mile

Costumes are encouraged.

Race logistics and services

All pre-registered participants receive a race shirt, a medal, a race bib, post-race snacks, free race day photos, and a digital finisher certificate. Race photos are free to download after the event; runners are asked to keep their bib visible for tagging.

Packet pickup is available at =PR= Vienna. A course map is listed as coming soon.

The live race will be electronically timed by Commonwealth Race Management using the ChronoTrack B disposable tag system. Results will be posted on the event results page after the race.

Awards will be given in the live race to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups from 14 and under through 80 and over. There will be no awards for the virtual race.

Entry fees listed for the in-person and virtual events are $40 for the 5K and $30 for the 1 Mile; prices increase after September 25, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
