Monster Dash 5K at The Bates Motel
The Monster Dash takes place on October 31, 2026, at Arasapha Farms and The Bates Motel property, 1835 Middletown Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342. The event includes a timed 5K and an untimed 1-mile fun run/walk. Registration opens July 25, 2026 and closes October 1, 2026. The registration fee is $30.
Distances
- 5K : multi-surface cross country through Arasapha Farms and the Haunted Hayride
- 1 Mile : multi-surface loop primarily through the Haunted Hayride path, untimed
The 5K entry includes a chipped bib for results timing and a commemorative t-shirt. Overall awards will be given to the top first, second, and third male and female finishers, and divisional medals will be awarded to first through third place male and female. The 1-mile entry includes a commemorative t-shirt and is intended as a family run or walk.
Costume guidelines apply to all participants: masks are not permitted, props such as swords are prohibited, runners must wear closed-toe shoes, spiked running shoes are allowed, and costume length should not impede safe running. All-terrain strollers only are permitted on course.
A monster costume contest will recognize two individual winners, one themed group, and two youth winners under age 12. The course is not USATF certified. The event will proceed rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
