Philly Christmas Run 5K
The Philly Christmas Run is a festive holiday 5K through Philadelphia on Saturday, December 12, 2026. The event is open to runners, walkers, joggers, and families and uses a run/walk/jog format. The exact course route will be revealed later.
Participants choose one of four character categories: Penguin, Polar Bear, Reindeer, or Santa. Each character category is limited to 500 participants, for a total event capacity of 2,000. A participant's chosen character determines the themed hat and the matching race bib and also places them in that character category for awards.
Every finisher receives a character hat, a matching character bib, a commemorative finisher medal, and hot chocolate at the finish. The 5K is professionally chip timed and official results are published. The top Male and top Female finisher in each character category receive awards, for eight award winners total.

The event states it welcomes participants with disabilities and offers reasonable accommodations, including accessible routes, ADA compliant restrooms, accessible packet pickup, guide runners, and a welcome for service animals.
