K12 Ultra Marathon & Relay
The K12 Ultra Marathon is a 12 hour event held at Dean Castle Country Park. The course is an approximately 4 km circular loop through the park. The route uses mixed terrain, predominantly paved paths, and includes hill sections.
Two race formats are offered: an individual solo event and a relay for teams of up to four runners. In both formats the objective is to complete as many laps as possible within the 12 hour race period. Winners are determined by the greatest distance covered. Relay teams may divide running time as they choose; equal splits are not required.
An Athletes’ Village is provided on site with space for tented support. Competitors have access to showers, on site toilets, a café, and boiling water. Every entry includes chip timing, a finisher’s medal, first aid cover, and marshals.
