Monkstown Spartan's SPAR Belfast Zoo 5k
The event is a running day at Belfast Zoo organised by Monkstown Spartans on 12 April 2026. The main race is a two-lap course through the zoo grounds that climbs to the top of the Zoological Gardens and returns by faster downhill sections. The route offers views of Cave Hill and Belfast Lough and finishes at the flamingo lake playpark.
Entry status and age categories are published for the event. The 5 km race is for participants aged 12 years and over. A separate 1 km event called the Kilimanjaro KM is for children aged 4 to 12 and includes a reduced admission component in the fee. Entry numbers were recorded with 449 participants and 4 on the waiting list at close of entries. Entries opened on 1 December 2025 and closed on 5 April 2026.
