Mohawk Mountain Race : Cornwall, CT
The Mohawk Mountain Race is held at Mohawk Mountain Ski Resort and uses mountain trails and surrounding state forest for its courses. The route on the ski mountain includes steep ascents and descents, trails with elevated viewpoints, and mixed terrain through wooded sections.
Course layout details:
- 5K loop using Wildwood Trail, Timber Trail, Victor’s Way, Route 100, Ledges, and Mohawk Trail.
- 10K consists of two 5K loops.
- Half Marathon runs one 5K loop plus additional miles in Mohawk State Forest.
- Marathon covers two loops of the Half Marathon course.
Hikers and walkers are permitted in the 5K and 10K events. The event provides finisher medals from Ragged Cuts and sponsor items, and awards the top three overall male and female finishers in each distance. At the finish there is pre-packaged food and canned beverages; alcoholic beverages are not provided but participants may bring their own.
