Modesto Memorial Classic
The Modesto Memorial Classic is scheduled for May 23, 2026 at East La Loma Park in Modesto, California. The event program includes in-person and virtual options for both a 1 mile and a 5K run/walk.
Events are separated for participants 17 and under and participants 18 and over. There are combined entry options that cover both the 1 mile and the 5K. A children's Fun Run is also part of the schedule.
All finishers receive medals. Early packet pick-up takes place on Friday, May 22 at the ShadowChase office at 1325 11th St. Walk-up registration is available both at early packet pick-up and on race day. The 1 mile course is described as walker friendly and the 5K is set in a shady park setting.
Awards are provided for top finishers: the 1 mile awards are given 1st through 3rd in 10 year age groups, and the 5K awards are given 1st through 3rd in 5 year age groups. A pancake breakfast is included with paid registration. There is a brief ceremony and awards will be available for pick-up after the ceremony. Proceeds in part support the Delta Vet Center.
