Mo Spring
Mo Spring takes place at Mohican State Park in Perrysville, Ohio. The event provides a variety of distances held on rugged trails and hills, beginning and ending at the Mohican State Park Lodge. Participants move through a diverse ecosystem featuring budding trees, spring flowers, ferns, and mosses.
The course passes several notable landmarks, including the Clearfork Gorge, which is a Registered National Natural Landmark over 300 feet deep. Runners and walkers also encounter an iconic covered bridge, a fire tower, and Lyons Falls. The landscape is characterized by towering hemlocks and old-growth white pines, providing a habitat for local wildlife and songbirds.
The following distances are available:
- Marathon (3,757 ft elevation gain)
- Half Marathon (1,850 ft elevation gain)
- 15k (1,217 ft elevation gain)
Participants receive a triblend tee and a finisher medal. All events have an 8 hour cutoff time. Hikers are welcome to participate in the marathon and half marathon distances. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in various five-year age groups ranging from 19 and under to 70 and over.
