Event details
The Lifesaver event takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Distances offered include:
- 5K Run / Walk - one loop; walkers allowed.
- 10K Run (no walkers) - two loops.
- 1 Mile Walk - new for 2025.
Pre-registration fee is $20 and race day registration is $25. A T-shirt is guaranteed if registration is received before December 5. Registration closes December 11, 2025. No refunds.
Course and location
The event is held at Charles Mill Lake Park, 1277 State Route 430, Mansfield, OH 44903. The course loops around the peninsula near the lake marina. The 5K completes one loop and the 10K completes two loops. The park is located east of Mansfield, Ohio.
Purpose, awards and results
The race is a Richland County Lions Clubs fundraiser. Proceeds go to purchase and maintain locator devices through Project Lifesaver for people with Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, or Down syndrome, in coordination with the Richland County Sheriff Department and the Area Agency on Aging. Awards are given to the top overall male and female and first place male and female in each age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
