AJ Howard Memorial 5K

Course, timing and awards
The in-person 5K is an out-and-back course on the Belton Hike & Bike Trail, starting at the Liberty Park open field across from BCYC. The in-person 5K is part of the Cen-Tex Race Series and all participants in that event earn Cen-Tex Race Series points. Chip timing is provided by Pro-Fit Race Timing. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+.
Purpose and event features
Proceeds support the AJ Howard Scholarship Fund for band students at Belton High School, Belton Middle School, and South Belton Middle School. Event features listed by the organizer include food trucks, free Black Rifle Coffee, bib drawings, race T-shirts, and swag bags.
