AJ Howard Memorial 5K, Belton TX
The AJ Howard Memorial 5K is scheduled for February 7, 2026, in Belton, Texas, at 700 Veterans Way. The event offers two options: an in-person 5K and a Sleep in 5K. The in-person course is an out-and-back on the Belton Hike & Bike Trail, starting at the Liberty Park open field across from BCYC.
Proceeds support the Belton Band Boosters and the AJ Howard Scholarship Fund. Funds are directed to students from Belton High School, Belton Middle School, and South Belton Middle School to help cover uniforms, instruments, equipment, and private lesson fees.
Event features include food trucks, free Black Rifle Coffee, bib drawings, a race T-shirt and a loaded swag bag for registrants, and a reduced registration price for participants age 18 and under. Chip timing is provided by Pro-Fit Race Timing. The in-person 5K is part of the Cen-Tex Race Series; participants earn series points and the race awards the top overall male and female finishers plus the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups: 11 & U, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+.
Packet pickup is available early on January 22 at Liberty Park from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with a second pickup on February 6. There will be no packet pickup on January 23. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
