Event details

The Polar Bear Plunge 5K is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Copperas Cove City Park in Copperas Cove, TX. The race is part of the Centex Race Series. The course starts and finishes at the City Park Pool and consists of three laps around the park. After the race, participants are invited to take a plunge in the City Park Pool and may take part in a belly flop event.

Registration and race logistics

The online registration fee is $25; the price increases after January 6, 2026 at 11:59pm CST. Online registration closes January 15, 2026 at 4:00pm. Registrants must register by January 2 to be guaranteed a shirt. Onsite late registration opens at 7:30 am on the morning of the race. Bib and bag pickup is available January 15 and 16 at the Copperas Cove Civic Center (1206 W Ave B, Copperas Cove) from 9:00am to 6:00pm. A course map is provided for the 2026 route.
