MK24 Midsummer RunFest
MK24 Midsummer RunFest is a 24 hour running event held over a midsummer weekend in June, next scheduled for Saturday 19th – Sunday 20th June 2027. The event is open to individuals and to teams of two to six people, and runs under UKA rules with licences from the Trail Running Association and The Parks Trust.
Participants complete as many laps as they choose of a measured circuit. Each lap is approximately 6.55 miles (about a quarter marathon). Completing two or four laps equals a half or full marathon; five or more laps can qualify as an ultra under UKA rules for runners over 20. Juniors aged 12 to 18 may take part; those under 15 are limited to half laps of roughly 5 km and must be supervised on site.
The venue is Action4Youth Caldecotte Xperience, Simpson Road, Milton Keynes. Onsite facilities include individual shower and toilet cubicles, large marquees, tee-pee tents for hire, campsite pitches and a mix of food options. Snacks, water and hot drinks are provided free; hot meals and vendor food are available for purchase. Camping and tee-pee hire options are offered with specified fees.
All entrants receive event items such as a medal, towel and a commemorative tee or vest, plus collectible distance pin badges. Prizes are awarded for achievements including most laps, fastest lap and team performance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
