Milton Keynes Festival of Running
The Milton Keynes Festival of Running is a road running event based at XScape, 602 Marlborough Gate, Milton Keynes MK9 3XA. The event offers four distances: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and 20 Mile, run largely on wide, flat city roads and dual carriageways with scenic stretches.
The event includes chip-timed results and RunThrough rankings, distance flags at each kilometre, and official finish line timing with splits. Professional photographers take free race photos for all participants. Finishers receive a unique themed medal and post-race goodies from event partners. There is an event village with food and drink options, toilet facilities, and a secure baggage area at the venue.
On-course support includes friendly marshals and water provided approximately every 5 km on the longer routes; the 5K does not pass a water station. Toilets are available on the course for the half marathon and 20 mile. Some local roads will be closed on race day to protect runners; these closures affect parts of central Milton Keynes.
The event lists a minimum age of 18 and a total elevation figure of 190 m. The festival also works with a charity partner, Harry's Rainbow, which supports bereaved children and young people in the Milton Keynes area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
