Mither Tap (Summer Series)
This hill race is based at Bennachie Visitor Centre (OS 38 NJ 699216) and forms part of the Summer Series. The course leaves the visitor centre along the old turnpike road, then turns uphill onto a rough path that skirts around the summit of Mither Tap. The route descends on a well made path to Heather Brig and returns to the visitor centre on good paths.
The course distance is 6.4 km (4 miles) with approximately 365 m (1200 ft) of climb. Parking is at Bennachie Visitor Centre and parking charges apply.
Entry on the day is available at a fee of £5.00. Entry is restricted to those over 18 years old. Payment on the day is accepted by cash and card and there will be a limited number of entries available on the day.
Recorded course best times are 29:11 for the men’s course (2018) and 36:06 for the women’s course (2016).
