Miracle Walk & 5K Run for the Down Syndrome Association of Miami
The Miracle Walk & 5K Run is a community sports event organized by the Down Syndrome Association of Miami, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Held in Coral Gables, Florida, the event supports people with Down syndrome (Trisomy 21) by promoting inclusion and acceptance. The funds raised during the proceedings go toward various initiatives, including therapies, educational programs, family support systems, and social outlets for individuals with Down syndrome.
Participants can choose between two main activities located at 405 Biltmore Way:
- 5K Miracle Run
- 1 Mile Miracle Walk
Registration is open to the public for a fee, and since the organizing body is a non-profit, all registrations and donations are tax-deductible. The event serves as a platform to celebrate lives born with Down syndrome while providing financial resources to improve their quality of life. The activities take place over a one-week period in November, starting with the walking event followed by the running race later in the week.
