Autism Society of Miami-Dade 5K Run/Walk at Zoo Miami
The Autism Society of Miami-Dade 5K Run/Walk is a first-annual event at Zoo Miami offering both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option. The in-person event is chipped timed. Registration windows and fees are listed by the organizer: the in-person 5K opens registration on 2026-06-02 and closes on 2026-07-01 with a registration fee of $35.00; the virtual 5K opens registration on 2026-06-02 and closes on 2026-11-01 with a registration fee of $45.00.
Event features include community vendors, music and entertainment, and autism awareness and resource information. Participants receive finisher medals and top-three placement medals for each age group, bibs, T-shirts, and event merchandise. Every participant also receives entry to Zoo Miami for the day.
Age groups for male and female competitors are 0–9, 10–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+. The event welcomes strollers and wheelchairs and notes a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. Pre-race packet pick up location and date are to be determined; race day packet pick up will also be available.
