Mineral Point's 45th Annual Gettin' The Lead Out Historic Run
The Mineral Point Chamber of Commerce presents the 45th annual Gettin' The Lead Out Historic Run in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, held on July 4, 2026, at Soldier's Memorial Park. The event offers options for a run or walk through the town on two course lengths.

The course is described as extremely hilly. Water stations are located at the 2-mile and 4-mile marks, a hose is available at the finish line, and restrooms are provided at the park. The community swimming pool will be available after the run. Walkers are welcome.
Awards are given to finishers: first place in each division receives a commemorative mug from Brewery Pottery, second place receives a medal, and ribbons are available for all participants age 12 and under.
Pricing is tiered by age and registration date: ages 12 and under are $20 through June 1, then $25; ages 13 and older are $25 through June 1, then $30. Registrations should include age, gender, t-shirt size, and choice of 2-mile or 5-mile run/walk in the comment section.
