Mineral Point Historic Gettin' the Lead Out Run
The Mineral Point Chamber of Commerce presents the 45th annual Gettin' The Lead Out Historic Run in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. The event offers both a 2-mile and a 5-mile course that travel through the town's historic area. Walkers are welcome.
Location is Soldiers Memorial Park, 126 Shake Rag Street, Mineral Point, WI 53565. Day-of registration is available. Registration fee is $25 per event. Registration information requests age, T-shirt size, gender (male or female), and the choice of 2- or 5-mile run or walk in the comment section. Registration is open in April and closes in early June; registrants who register before June 1, 2026 are guaranteed a T-shirt.

The course is described as extremely hilly. Water is available at the 2 and 4 mile marks, a hose is available at the finish area, and restrooms are available at the park. Awards include a commemorative mug from Brewery Pottery for first place finishers in each division, medals for second place, and ribbons for participants age 12 and under.
