Edward Jones Firecracker 5K : Platteville, WI
The Edward Jones Firecracker 5K in Platteville takes place on July 4, 2026 at the museum location on 405 E. Main Street. The event includes a community 5K and a Kids Dash around the museum, with a route that runs from the museum to Mound View Park & Campground along the Roundtree Branch Trail and finishes back at the museum.

Awards are presented to the top three men and women overall and to winners in each age group, with categories beginning at 14 and under and extending to 70 and older. After the event, participants who show their race bib may receive a complimentary train ride at the museum.
