Mindy Creek Trail Races
All race distances start and finish at the Polk County Information Center in St. Croix Falls, WI. Courses use a variety of local trails, with technical sections, rolling hills, bridges, and stretches on gravel, paved and grass surfaces.
Distances
- Marathon: two laps of the half marathon course.
- Half Marathon: lollipop shaped single lap course.
- 10K: out and back with mixed surfaces.
The marathon includes over 18 miles of single track. Marathon aid stations are located at miles 5, 9, 13, 18 and 22, with water only at miles 8 and 21; drop bags are allowed at the start/finish area only. Marathon cut offs include a 7 hour overall finish time and a requirement to begin the second loop by 3 hours 15 minutes. The half marathon has full aid at miles 5 and 9 and a water only station at mile 8; its finish cutoff is 5 hours. The 10K has a water only aid at the turnaround and a 2 hour cutoff.
All finishers receive a full color 8.5 x 11 print of the current year logo. Awards go to the top three male and female finishers in most distances; the half marathon also awards masters over 40.
Registration opens November 28, 2025 and closes August 25, 2026 for online entries. Online registration is limited to 150 runners; there are no refunds and entries may not be transferred or deferred. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
