Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race
The Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race takes place in Cumberland, BC on Vancouver Island and combines paddling, mountain biking, and trekking through coastal and forest terrain. The 2026 event will be the 46th edition. The race field is limited to 1000 racers.
Courses use single-track mountain bike trails, shorelines and forest areas and include ocean views. Exact course routes and the order of race stages are not published in advance; distances are approximate and trekking and biking distances may be split into multiple stages.
Three race options are offered:
- Quest 20K: 5K paddle, 15K trek
- Sport 30K: 5K paddle, 15K mountain bike, 10K trek
- Enduro 50K: 10K paddle, 25K mountain bike, 15K trek
Entry fees listed on the source are $200 for the Quest and $250 for the Sport and Enduro entries, plus tax; the source notes fees increase on Aug 17, 2026. Organizers publish a mandatory gear list and conduct surprise gear checks with a five minute penalty per missing item.
