Mind Over Matter 5K Run/Walk 2027
Mind Over Matter 5K Run/Walk takes place on May 2, 2027 at GEM Fitness, 4580 Sunrise Hwy., Oakdale, NY 11769. The event raises funds for Alzheimer’s programs and research benefitting Fit For Life, a nonprofit that advances health and fitness and supports community access to wellness resources.
Distances offered include:
- 5K Run/Walk, timed, with awards
- 1 Mile, untimed, no awards
The 5K awards include top overall male and female and top three male and female in multiple age groups. Personalized bibs are available for participants who register three weeks before the event. Bib pickup is handled by event staff beginning one hour before the event; last-minute registrants may receive a bib number by text shortly after registering.
Registration options and totals vary depending on selected items and processing fees; example totals in the registration materials include processing fees. Registration fees are nonrefundable and not transferable. Teams may be formed optionally and team rosters are supported.
Amenities listed for the event include post-race awards and prizes, refreshments, sponsor giveaways, T-shirts or towels while supplies last, live text and email results, and free finish line photos.
