Mind Over Matter 5K Run/Walk
Mind Over Matter 5K Run/Walk takes place on May 2, 2027 at GEM Fitness in Oakdale, New York. The event raises funds for Alzheimer’s programs and research administered by Fit For Life, a nonprofit focused on health, fitness, research, advocacy, and community collaboration.
The event offers two distance options:

Registration is paid and includes processing fees. Sample pricing listed for online registration includes totals that reflect processing fees. Registration fees are non refundable and registrations cannot be transferred between years. There is an option to register as a donation only and suggested donation amounts are listed.
Race amenities include post race awards and prizes, refreshments, sponsor giveaways, T shirts and towels while supplies last, live text and email results, free finish line photos, and a personalized bib for those registered at least three weeks before race day. Bib pickup is handled by event staff and last minute registrants can receive a bib number by text within a short time of registration.
Awards for the 5K include top one male and female overall and top three male and female in age groups ranging from 5 and under through 80 plus, with medals awarded in those categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
