5th Annual Mills Mountain Lion Run 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run
The event takes place on January 31, 2026 at Virgil Mills Elementary School in Palmetto, Florida. This is the fifth annual Mills Mountain Lion Run and it offers in-person and virtual participation options. Proceeds will benefit the Virgil Mills Elementary physical education department.
Race options include:
- 5K Run/Walk - chip timed and award eligible
- 1-Mile Family Fun Run/Walk - untimed
- Virtual 5K - self timed and not eligible for awards
All registrants receive a race shirt and a finisher medal. The in-person 5K uses chip timing; awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each listed age group. Age group categories are 4-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-39, 40-59, and 60 plus.
