Millican Summer Series
The Millican Summer Series is a sequence of community races held at Millican Reserve in College Station, Texas. The program runs across six weekly race events on Thursday nights and concludes with a finisher party where awards are distributed based on the series results.
The series includes the following distances and event types:
- 5 km weekly races
- Kids run held before the 5 km each race night
- 1 mile adult races on the same nights
Entry and logistics are handled per week. There is a fee of $10 for each week that a participant runs; this fee covers chip timing and a finisher medal only. A preregistration option for all six races provides a $10 discount and reduces registration fees. Packet pickup is available on race day before the events. The race start is about 0.4 miles from the parking area and will be marked with signs. Participants receive a bib with an electronic chip that can be reused at each race; reuse is requested for environmental reasons.
Series scoring and awards: points are calculated from each participant's time each week, and age groups are determined using the participant's age on the first race day with age groups in ten-year bands. The series counts each participant's four best finishes toward awards given at the finisher party, including categories for overall points, age group, most consistent, and most improved.
