YMCA Milkshake Mile Presented by PA Dairymen's Association
The event is a family-oriented running and community gathering hosted by the Friendship YMCA at 1 HACC Drive, Harrisburg, PA. It combines timed competition and informal participation with additional on-site activities and vendors.
Racing options include:
- 1 Mile - timed Mile Run with age-group heats
- Half Pint 1/2 Mile - fun walk/run for families and children
- Virtual Mile - participants may complete the distance on a day of their choice
The timed Mile Run is organized into age-group heats and awards are given based on chip times. Races use a rolling start format for non-timed and fun runs. After the in-person races, participants receive milkshakes provided by PA Dairymen's Association. Virtual participants will receive virtual race packets about one week after the event and may choose to walk or run outside of the event day.
Additional attractions scheduled alongside the races include milkshake relays, food trucks, local vendors, DJ entertainment, games, activities, and YMCA information booths. The event has a back-to-school theme and organizers will distribute backpacks and family-focused activities as part of the program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
