Milford Campus Bridgeport Hospital Mother's Day 5K Run/Walk
This event at the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital includes timed and untimed options along courses that start and finish at the hospital campus. The main entries are a chip timed 5K where participants must run or walk the entire distance to be timed and eligible for awards, an untimed 3K fitness walk that follows sidewalks for safety, and a free noncompetitive kids fun run for 5th grade and under. Both courses are described as flat, scenic, accurately measured, and marked with mile splits. Police and volunteers will be on hand for safety.
There is a participant limit of 650. The event does not allow refunds. All 5K and 3K participants receive a race tee shirt; shirt size availability is guaranteed for preregistrations by April 26 and is limited afterward. Early bib and shirt pickup is available on the two days before the event.
Awards are limited to timed 5K participants and include male and female champions and age group prizes, with youth age groups receiving medals. There are also special team awards for mother and child teams. A race bib grants a 10 percent discount at a local running store through May 31.
