BoFish Triathlon
BoFish Triathlon is a community triathlon held at Pinewood Lake in Trumbull, Connecticut. The event is presented by Happy Place and supports the Cardinal Sheehan Center, an inner city community youth center in Bridgeport, CT. Registration is not yet open.
The race course includes three segments around Pinewood Lake. Distances are:
- 1-mile swim in Pinewood Lake
- 25-mile out-and-back bike ride
- 5-mile run around the lake with some serious hills
Event amenities include a DJ playlist chosen for participants and volunteers, a live a-capella National Anthem, and event schwag and prizes such as Thule luggage and original BoFish artwork. Results are provided live online, by email, and by text, with free video and same-day finish line photos; additional photos are posted on social channels.
Awards are given to the top four male and female overall finishers and to the top relay team. Non-award age categories for males and females are listed online after the event and include 19 and under, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 plus.
Bibs require a known bib number for pickup or use of a self-lookup area. Registering at least three weeks in advance allows a personalized race number. Registrations made close to pickup may receive bib numbers electronically. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
