BoFish Triathlon
BoFish Triathlon is presented as an annual triathlon at Pinewood Lake in Trumbull, Connecticut. The event combines open-water swimming, a road bike course, and a run around the lake that includes notable hills.
The race format includes the following legs:
- 1 mile swim in Pinewood Lake
- 25 mile out-and-back bike course
- 5 mile run around the lake with hilly sections
Event amenities include DJ-curated music, a live a-capella national anthem, and participant prizes and schwag such as Thule luggage and original BoFish artwork. Awards are given to the top four male and top four female overall finishers and the top relay team. Non-award age categories are published online after the event and include 19 & under, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65+.
All proceeds benefit the Cardinal Sheehan Center, a community youth center in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Registration is not yet open. Bib pickup procedures note that registering three weeks in advance secures a personalized race number, a self-lookup area is available for bib numbers, and registrants close to pickup can receive their bib number by text.
