Miles Over the Moon
Miles Over the Moon is the fifteenth annual 4 mile road race held in Salem, Massachusetts. The course is described as very flat and fast and the event benefits local high school track programs.
The race starts at Bentley Academy Charter School, 25 Memorial Drive, with parking available in the Bentley School lot and at Salem Willows. Organizers request that participants avoid parking on adjacent residential streets. Post-race popsicles and beverages are provided at Bentley School. An awards presentation and after-party are planned and will be announced.
Entry fees are listed as $40 for pre-registration and $45 beginning July 10. A race shirt or tank top is provided to the first 300 registered runners. Overall awards include $100 cash rewards for Male, Female, and Nonbinary top finishers. Age-group awards are given to the top three in the following categories: Youth (19 and under), 20-29, 30-39, Masters (40-49), Senior Masters (50-59), 60-69, and 70 and over.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Wednesday July 8 and Thursday July 9, 12:00–5:30 p.m., at New England Running Company, 43 Enon St, Beverly, MA. Race day pickup begins at the Bentley School. Because the race takes place at night, runners are encouraged to wear reflective clothing; the course is not closed to traffic. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times.
