Miles for the Future 5K
Miles for the Future 5K takes place on July 18, 2026 at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The start and finish area is located near the Tortoise and Hare statue, across the street from Lloyd’s Carrot Cake at 6087 Broadway. Race day registration and check in are located near the same statue.
The event is hosted by the Nu Chi Chi Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. Proceeds support undergraduate and graduate nursing scholarship programs and chapter community outreach initiatives. The organizing chapter was founded on October 31, 2015 in Westchester, New York, and is guided by the mission Service for Humanity.
The course is entirely within Van Cortlandt Park and follows a scenic loop using paved park paths, open green spaces and wooded sections. The route passes near the Van Cortlandt Golf Course and Vault Hill, includes gentle elevation changes, and is clearly marked. Course marshals and volunteers are stationed at key points.
Amenities include medals for all finishers, registrant shirts, refreshments, free finish line photos, and live text and email results. A personalized bib is available for those who register three weeks in advance. Awards are given to the top three overall in Female, Male, and X divisions. Registration fees are non refundable. Team registration and donation options are available, with suggested donation amounts listed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
