About the race
Miles for Smiles 5K is a community 5K event held on September 26, 2026, in Lake Park, Milwaukee. The route runs through Lake Park and begins and ends at the Summer Stage near 2975 N Lake Park Road. Parking is available near the Start Line and at Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro, about a five minute walk from the Start. Registration opens May 8, 2026 and remains open through the week of the race with tiered pricing.
Registrations before July 23 are listed at $25, registrations before August 23 are listed at $30, and prices increase to $35 after August 23. Those who register before August 25 receive a complimentary race day T shirt. The listed registration period closes September 23, 2026. Packet pickup is available the day before the race, September 25, at Helfaer Recreation Center on Marquette University campus from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, and on race day at the Start Line beginning at 7:00 am.
Packet contents include the race bib, race day T shirt, and sponsor items. Packet pickup requires the QR code from the registration confirmation. Proceeds benefit patients at Children’s Wisconsin Hospital and Marquette University School of Dentistry to support cleft lip and palate care. The event is organized by the Miles for Smiles club to raise funds and increase awareness through fundraising, volunteering, and community outreach.
