Miles for Mutts 5K - Newburgh
The Miles for Mutts 5K takes place on October 24, 2026 at the Warrick Humane Society shelter, 5722 S Vann Rd, Newburgh, Indiana. The course begins and ends at the new shelter and follows the Warrick Trails for a 3.1 mile run/walk.
The event offers both a timed 5K and an un-timed 5K. Un-timed participants start at the same time on the same course, do not receive a race bib, and do not receive timed results.
Registration fees change by date: early registration through September 1 is $25 and guarantees a soft ring-spun t-shirt in the participant's size; registration from September 1 through September 30 is $30; registration beginning October 1 and on the morning of the event is $35. A Miles for Mutts pet bandana is available for an additional $10.
Awards are given to the Top 5 male finishers and Top 5 female finishers, plus an award for first place dog. The Warrick Humane Society also lists donation options: a $30 donation includes a long-sleeved Miles for Mutts t-shirt (colors may vary and sizes may be limited), and a $50 donation includes a double-walled vacuum insulated tumbler. The run/walk is open to people and to pets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
