New Year's Eve 5K - Newburgh
The event is a timed 5K out and back run at Friedman Park, 2700 Park Blvd., Newburgh, IN 47630, held on December 31, 2026. The course starts and finishes at the West Pavilion. Finishers receive a unique finisher medal.
Registration fees increase over time: $30 through September 30, $35 through December 10, and $40 through race day. A medal-only option is offered for a $5 reduction. Group discounts are available for parties of four or more; the organizer provides discount codes. There will be no early packet pick up. Check-in and late registration take place at Friedman Park on race day from 12:00 to 12:45 pm. All sales are final; unless other arrangements are made, medals and shirts will not be saved after the event.
The event will be timed by To the Finish Timing. Awards are presented to the overall top three male and overall top three female finishers, and top three male and female in age groups 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over.
The race proceeds rain or shine. In the event of ice or snow the race will be postponed to January 3; if postponed, participants may transfer their bib. If the event is cancelled on both dates, entries are non-refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
