Miles for Moore
Miles for Moore is a community running event held at JW Moore Middle School in Florence, SC on August 29, 2026. The event includes a 5K race and a kids 1 mile fun run. Proceeds will go to the JW Moore APT to support enhancements to the learning environment and school community.

Registration categories and fees are listed for early, late, day of race, students, Moore staff, and children. Specific fees include early registration for the 5K at $35, late and day of race increases, student and child rates at $25, and a shirt only purchase option for $15. Kids ages 3 and under are free without a shirt. The kids fun run is free but requires registration. Guaranteed shirt sizes are available for registrations completed by August 10, 2026; shirts for later registrants will be provided if available on a first come first serve basis.
Awards for the 5K include overall male and female placements for first through third, plus male and female age group awards for first through third. Age group categories include 9 & under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Strollers are permitted, participants may listen to music while running, and pets are not allowed. Packet pickup is scheduled on August 28 and August 29 at JW Moore Middle School. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
