About the race
Miles for Moore takes place on August 29, 2026 at JW Moore Middle School, 191 Westfield Drive, Florence, SC 29501. The event includes a community 5K and a kids 1 mile fun run.

Proceeds from the event go to the JW Moore APT for use in enhancing the learning environment and school community for students, staff, parents, and guardians.
Registration and fees are published for different categories: early registration up to August 10 is $35, late registration August 11 to August 28 is $40, day of race registration is $45. Student registration is $25. Kids ages 4 to 9 have a registration price of $25. Moore staff registration is $25. Children 3 and under are free and receive no shirt. The kids 1 mile fun run is free; all participants must register to take part.
Shirt information: the last day for a guaranteed size is August 10, 2026; shirts will be given to anyone registered after that date if available on a first come first serve basis. Adult sizes available XS to XXL and youth sizes S to XL. A shirt only purchase option is listed at $15.
Awards for the 5K include overall male and female 1st through 3rd and age group awards male and female 1st through 3rd. Age groups include 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Event notes state that strollers are welcome, music is allowed for runners, and pets are not allowed. Packet pickup is available the day before and the morning of the event at the school. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
