Miles for Moore
Miles for Moore is a community running event at JW Moore Middle School in Florence, South Carolina on August 29, 2026. The event features a chip-timed road race and a separate kids fun run.

All funds raised will go to the JW Moore APT to support enhancements to the learning environment and the school community for students, staff, parents, and guardians.
Registration fees for the 5K vary by timing and category: early registration $35, late $40, day of race $45, student or kids 4 and older $25, Moore staff $25. Children 3 and under are free and are not eligible for a shirt. The kids 1 mile fun run is free; registration is required for participation and for receiving a shirt.
Shirt sizing is guaranteed for registrations completed by July 17, 2026; later registrants may receive shirts while supplies last on a first come first serve basis. Available sizes are Adult XS through XXL and Youth S through XL.
Awards for the 5K include overall male and female placements for first through third, plus age group awards for male and female first through third. Age groups are 9 and under; 10-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.
Practical notes: packet pickup is available the day before and on race day before the races start. Strollers are permitted, music while running is allowed, and pets are not allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
