Miles for Minds: 5k and 1 Mile Literacy Quest - Mason City
Miles for Minds in Mason City comprises multiple event options that raise funds and awareness for local literacy and learning programs. The in-person 5k is chip timed and takes place at the Historic Band Shell in East Park. The route follows trails along the Winnebago River, continues through town, and finishes in front of the band shell.
A family, untimed Literacy Quest is a one mile activity walk on East Park trails. The walk includes several stations themed around children's books placed along the route.
A virtual 5k option is available; it is not chip timed and allows participants to record completion on the event day. Medals for virtual participants are available for later pickup at an announced location.
