Miles for Mills Memorial Day Weekend Event
The 15th annual Miles for Mills Memorial Day Weekend event is organized by the Travis Mills Foundation. The race is held at Brunswick Landing in Brunswick, Maine, the site of the former Brunswick Naval Air Station. The event offers multiple participation options for runners and walkers.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- 5K Walk/Run (In-Person or Virtual)
- 10K Run (In-Person or Virtual)
- Fundraiser Only option
Proceeds from the event support the Travis Mills Foundation. This organization assists veteran families and individuals dealing with the invisible wounds of war. The foundation operates a retreat located in the Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine, providing support to military families after their service.
For those participating in person, early packet pickup is available at the Buker Community Center on Armory St. in Augusta, Maine. In addition to the physical race in Brunswick, a virtual component allows participants to complete their chosen distance from any location.
