Event Overview

Miles for Migraine - Houston 2026 is the 7th annual community event held at Stude Park in Houston, Texas. This gathering serves as a fundraiser to support migraine and headache awareness, treatment, and research. Participants can engage in the event through various physical activities or a relaxation-only option. The event includes a festival area where attendees can listen to speakers, connect with the local headache disease community, and visit sponsor booths.

Participation Options

Participants can choose from several ways to be involved in the event:

  • 5K Run: A chip-timed competitive run where finishers receive a medal.
  • 2 Mile Walk: An untimed walk where participants can complete the full distance or turn around at any point. Finishers receive a medal.
  • Relax Event: A non-physical option that allows individuals to enjoy the speakers and festival area. A dedicated Relax tent is provided with seating and coloring activities.
  • Virtual Event: An option for those unable to attend in person, allowing for intentional movement or relaxation from any location.

Awards and Recognition

The event recognizes participants across several categories. Awards are presented to the first-place overall finishers in the male, female, and non-binary categories for the 5K run. Additionally, prizes are given for fundraising achievements, including the top individual fundraiser and the top fundraising team. A spirit award and a caregiver appreciation award are also part of the program. Attendees are encouraged to wear purple attire for a chance to win a prize for the best purple flair.

Logistics

Funds raised through registration and donations benefit local programs, services, and local research and fellowship training at the Texas Children's Hospital Headache Center.
