Event Overview
Miles for Migraine Connecticut is an annual community event held at Hubbard Park in Meriden. Now in its seventh year, the event serves as a fundraiser for migraine and headache awareness, treatment, and research. Participants can engage in various ways, including running, walking, or attending as guests in the dedicated festival area.
The event features several participation options:
- 5K Run: A professionally chip-timed race.
- 2-Mile Walk: An untimed walk where participants have the flexibility to turn around at any point.
- Relax with us: A non-competitive option for those who wish to attend the festival, listen to speakers, and use the Relax tent for sitting or coloring without entering the course.
- Virtual Event: An option for remote participation through activities such as biking, yoga, or swimming.
All finishers of the walk and run events receive a medal. The festival area includes a stage for speakers and a space to visit with event sponsors. Funds raised during the event support local research and fellowship training programs at the Hartford Healthcare Headache Center and the Yale Headache Center. Awards are presented for top fundraisers and competitive placements, including first place overall for male, female, and non-binary categories.
