Event Overview
The Miles for Maura is an annual fundraising event organized by the King Philip High School SADD chapter. Held in Wrentham, the event serves as a memorial to honor Maura D. Howard and aims to spread awareness regarding the dangers of drinking and driving. The proceeds from the event support scholarships for graduates of Maura's alma mater, King Philip Regional High School.
The event features two primary participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Virtual 5K
The 5K Run/Walk takes place on-site at King Philip Regional High School. For individuals who cannot attend in person, the Virtual 5K allows participants to complete the distance from any location. Professional race timing is provided for the event by Second Wind Timing.
Location and Amenities
The physical race is located at 201 Franklin Street in Wrentham. Participants have access to various amenities, including water, snacks, and t-shirts. Awards are presented to the first overall male, female, and student finishers.
