Event overview
The Miles for Mammos 5K Run/Walk is a community race held on October 17, 2026, at the Jacksonville Commons in Jacksonville, NC (100 Recreation Lane, 28546). The event is part of the JOSC race series bonus races. The course is described as flat and stroller friendly. There is a water station around the halfway point. Finishers receive a medal and post-race snacks are provided. Dogs are allowed if on a leash; a bandana is available for a $5 donation.

5K early bird price is $25 until January 1, 2026, then $35 until October 1, 2026, and $40 from October 1 through October 17, 2026. Virtual 5K early bird price is $25 until January 1, 2026; $35 through October 17, 2026 (virtual entry includes a medal). Kids 5 and under may register for free without shirt or medal; a shirt and medal add-on is $10. OMH employees and their families have a discounted rate with a code. Race packet pickup details will be announced closer to the event. All proceeds benefit Julie’s Pink Warrior Project to fund free screening mammograms for uninsured and underinsured individuals in Onslow County.
