Mighty Niagara Half Marathon & Hospice Dash 5K
Niagara Hospice will hold the Mighty Niagara Half Marathon and Hospice Dash 5K on October 3, 2026. The half marathon begins at Artpark State Park in Lewiston, NY and the 5K begins at Porter on the Lake Town Park in Youngstown, NY. Both races finish at Porter on the Lake Town Park. The event is presented by Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union and is rain or shine.
Distances
- 13.1 miles USATF certified half marathon starting at Artpark State Park.
- 3.1 miles USATF certified Hospice Dash 5K starting at Porter on the Lake Town Park.
The half marathon route offers views of two historic villages, four state parks, the Lower Niagara River, Lake Ontario, Canada and the Toronto skyline. The Hospice Dash follows Lake Road and goes through Four Mile Creek State Park.
Many participants enter both events to honor and remember loved ones, and several choose to walk the Hospice Dash 5K as a tribute. Runners receive trophies, cash prizes, medals, and pins for various achievements. The post race celebration includes food, free beer from Brickyard Brewing Company, and live music by Soul Committee.
Since inception, more than 18,000 participants have taken part. Proceeds support the specialized care and services provided by the nonprofit organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
