The race is USAT sanctioned and professionally chip timed with split results. All participants receive a race t shirt and all finishers receive a medal. The swim takes place in Mississinewa Reservoir with a time trial beach start; buoys mark turns and many boats may be on the water. Wetsuit rules follow USAT temperature guidelines and may affect awards eligibility.
The bike course uses smooth low traffic county roads with signage and course marshals; there are no aid stations on the bike. The run is an out and back on a paved park path with aid stations about every mile offering water, gatorade, and coke. Transition procedures, helmet and equipment rules, body marking, wristbands, parking, and contingency plans for unsafe conditions are described for race day. Packet pickup and onsite registration are conducted on race day only. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
