Mighty Mississinewa Triathlon
The Mighty Mississinewa Triathlon takes place at the Miami State Recreation Area in Peru, Indiana. This multisport event offers various formats including Triathlon, Duathlon, and Aquabike. The venue features parking located adjacent to the beach, transition area, and finish line. Park entry and parking fees are included in the registration cost.
Participants can choose from three primary distances:
- Sprint Triathlon: 500-yard lake swim, 13-mile bike ride, and a 3.1-mile run.
- Olympic Triathlon: 1,650-yard swim, 24.8-mile bike ride, and a 6.2-mile run.
- Half Iron Triathlon: 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike (two laps), and a 13.1-mile run (two laps).
The event also includes options for 2-person and 3-person relay teams for the Sprint and Olympic distances. In addition to the triathlon formats, athletes can compete in specific Duathlon and Aquabike categories for each distance level. Awards are presented for group and overall performance.
