Event overview
The 2nd Annual CK Racing Back to School 5k takes place on July 25, 2026 in Kokomo, Indiana. The event is a family run/walk held at Jackson Morrow Park and is organized to benefit local teachers, students, and schools for the upcoming school year. The event includes a school supply drop-off; all donated supplies will go to the Education Foundation. Participants are encouraged to wear school colors or the colors of a favorite school. All finishers receive a finisher medal. There is an option to purchase a race shirt for an additional cost if ordered by the specified deadline; a limited number of shirts may be available on race day, first come first serve while supplies last.
Logistics and fees
The event features a 5K distance. Registration opens January 1, 2026 at 12:00pm EST. Entry fees are age-based: 18+ $15; ages 10-17 $10; ages 9 and under $5. Packet pickup is available on race day from 6:30am to 7:30am. Cash or check will be accepted on race day. Examples of requested school supplies include pencils, colored pencils, crayons, washable markers, glue sticks, scissors, pencil pouches, spiral notebooks, folders, dry erase markers, highlighters, erasers, rulers, tissues, and disinfectant wipes.
