Ultrapalooza - September 26 - 27, 2026
Ultrapalooza is a multi-distance trail running event held on the Flint Hills Trail in Osawatomie, KS. The event uses the Mile 0 trail head in Osawatomie as the main hub and start/finish area, which includes restrooms, space for crews, music and a food truck.
The course is an out-and-back on mostly flat, crushed gravel consisting of single track, old railroad beds and towpath trail. The route crosses the Flint Hills and travels alongside the Marais Des Cygnes River through prairie, riparian woodlands and farmland. The trail is well marked and staffed.

Aid stations include both manned and unmanned stations. Manned stations are stocked with water, Hammer Heed electrolyte drink, snack foods, sandwiches, chips, candy and Hammer gels. Unmanned stations provide water only. Aid stations are located approximately no more than 6.0 miles apart. A drop bag area is available; each drop bag must be clearly marked with runner name, bib number, race distance and aid station name. Drop bag limits and pickup procedures apply.
Race rules include staying on the designated trail, no littering, leashed pets, and crew access only at designated crew aid stations. Pacers are allowed for specified ultra distances with distance limits and requirements. No refunds are offered; entries may be deferred to the same race the following year if requested at least 10 days before the event. The event is part of the Kansas Super Slam of Ultrarunning Series.
