Ultrapalooza : Osawatomie, Kansas
Ultrapalooza, organized by Midwest Endurance and part of the Kansas Super Slam of Ultrarunning Series, takes place on the Flint Hills Trail at the Mile 0 trailhead in Osawatomie. The event is scheduled for late September 2026 and offers a range of distances over an out-and-back route on largely flat, crushed gravel trail that includes single track, old railroad beds, and towpath sections. The route passes through tallgrass prairie, alongside the Marais Des Cygnes River, and across farmland and riparian woodlands.
Aid stations are a mix of manned and unmanned stations placed no more than 6.0 miles apart. Manned stations are stocked with water, electrolyte drinks, snack foods, sandwiches, chips, candy, and gels; unmanned stations provide water only. The Start/Finish at the trailhead serves as the main hub and includes music, a food truck, and restrooms; it is also the primary area for crews.
Key participant details include a required medical information sheet to be submitted at packet pickup, a no refund no transfer policy with a one year deferral option, and late registration available at packet pickup and on race day with no guarantee of shirts or swag. Pacers are allowed for the 100 mile, 100k, and 50 mile distances with specific mile restrictions and mandatory pacer bibs and waivers. Drop bags are accepted for manned aid stations and must be clearly labeled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
