Midsummer Night Run in Oneonta is an evening community event on August 22, 2026, that combines timed running events with a family-focused festival atmosphere. The event takes place at Oneonta Recreation Park, 28117 State Highway 75, Oneonta, AL 35121. Parking is located at Oneonta High School with shuttle service to the event site; there is no parking at the event site.
The event supports local education through The Oneonta Foundation for Educational Resources and the Blount County Education Foundation. The 5K course is USATF certified and uses bib-tag timing chips; participants must wear their bib on the front of the shirt for a recorded time. Strollers are permitted but should start from the back of the field. Registered kids 12 and under who run the 1 mile will receive a finisher medal.
Registration fees are stated for each entry type and registration is required; there are no refunds. Bib transfers must be completed by August 20, 2026. The organizer reserves the right to cancel in extreme circumstances; in that case entry fees will be used as donations to the event charities.
