Tomahawk Trail Endurance Challenge
The Tomahawk Trail Endurance Challenge is scheduled for 08/29/2026 at Oneonta High School, Hwy 75, Oneonta, AL 35121. The format asks participants to run the cross-country course repeatedly for a two hour period, completing as many laps as they can of a loop listed as 1.35 Miles.
Registration opens on 03/20/2026 and closes on 08/29/2026. The base registration fee is $0.00. Organizers request donations of $20 or more at packet pickup to receive a bib and to enter the competition; donations to Oneonta Cross Country will also be accepted on the day of the event and proceeds go to Oneonta High School Cross Country.
The course is a cross-country trail over grass and hills; regular running shoes are acceptable. Parking is available in the Elementary School parking lot. Bib and packet pickup take place the morning of the event and end before the race. The run starts in the OES field and course signage, trail flagging, and volunteers will direct participants. A course map is forthcoming and a race photographer is to be determined.
Awards have been updated due to attendance: top male and top female will receive awards. Any participant who completes nine loops within the two hour window will receive a special medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
