Midlands Ultra Triathlon 2026
The Midlands Ultra Triathlon is scheduled for 13 September 2026 at Midmar Dam in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The event offers multiple race classes including ultra, aquabike, sprint, and team relay entries, held on open water and road courses around the dam.
Distances and formats:
- Ultra Individual / Relay and Aquabike: 1.6 km swim, 55 km cycle, 12 km run.
- Sprint Individual / Relay: 750 m swim, 20 km cycle, 5 km run.
Entry categories include individual and 2 or 3 person relay teams. Temporary Triathlon South Africa licences are available for single events; annual TSA licences are also an option. Prize money and race inclusions are listed for competitors and include a goodie bag, race apparel for pre-entries, branded swim cap, timing chip, race number, medical support, lifeguards, marshals, water tables, an event medal, and prize money for overall winners.
