Middlesbrough Triathlon
The Middlesbrough Triathlon is scheduled at Eston Leisure Centre in Middlesbrough on 6 September 2026. The event is held alongside a Health & Wellbeing Fair and the permit is in progress. Organisers expect around 300 competitors. Additional events listed for the day include an Aquathlon, a 5K run and a 10K run. Entry is managed online.
The Sprint Triathlon consists of the following stages:
- Swim: 300m pool swim with entry and exit steps
- Bike: 20km on flat road with distance markers
- Run: 5km on flat tarmac with aid stations and distance markers
The transition area is on grass and measures about 10m; it includes steps, a ramp and a descent. The bike course is described as flat and very fast. The run course uses closed roads. Event facilities include accessible parking, accessible toilets and showers, changing areas, chip timing, finishers medals, prizes and results published on the event website.
