Middlebury Summer Festival 5k and 1 mile
The event is part of Middlebury's annual Summer Festival and takes place in Middlebury, Indiana, on State Street by East Park. It includes a 5K run/walk and one-mile races organized for children and older participants. Proceeds support the Northridge Middle and High School Cross Country programs.
Distances:
- 5K run/walk
- 1 mile (kids run and competitive 1 mile)
Timing for both races is electronic and handled by a professional timing service. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women in the 5K and to top finishers in age divisions. The 5K also awards top three finishers in each age group; age groups include 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. The one-mile events include awards for top finishers by gender and a fun-run category for children. Children age five and under must be accompanied by an adult during the one-mile kids run.
Registration details list individual entry fees for each event and a combined option. Online registration is available through race morning, and packet pickup is scheduled on the Friday before the event at East Park. The event notes a no-refunds policy. Bonus prizes are offered for breaking current course records in the 5K and the competitive one mile; specific record times and cash bonuses are posted for those categories.
