Middlebury Maple Run
The Middlebury Maple Run is an annual running event offering three distances on Sunday, October 18, 2026. Distances include a half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K held on USATF certified courses.

Courses combine trail, paved, and dirt road surfaces and pass areas with views of the Green Mountains and the Adirondacks. The event provides on course music and a mix of surfaces for each distance.
Included services and race amenities listed by organizers are a free 18 week training plan provided upon registration, complimentary race pacing groups for target half marathon times of 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30 and 2:45, a race packet with swag, a post race breakfast, free bag check, and free parking. Top finishers receive Vermont maple syrup as an award.
The event is managed and operated by the Addison County Independent and is supported by local sponsors. Organizers note a volunteer program that has helped run the race since 2009 and plan for attendance of more than 400 participants and their guests. The 5K course is described as family friendly.
